Participants will learn how to safely open the MX40 patient monitor using the patent pending EBS Case Surgeon Repair Tool, disassemble the device, identify common problems, replace internal parts, reassemble and test post repair.
Session Abstract
Opening the MX40 patient monitor using the patent pending EBS Case Surgeon Repair Tool, disassemble the device, identify common problems, replace internal parts, reassemble and test post repair will all be demonstrated by the presenter. Examples of common problems and tips and tricks to quickly turn around repairs that have traditionally required sending to a 3rd party or to the OEM, resulting in a significant cost savings.
Speaker Profiles
Glenn Schneider joined Elite Biomedical Solutions in April 2023 as the Chief Service Officer. Elite Biomedical Solutions supports hospital HTM departments with new replacement parts, re-certified parts, and repairs. Elite is a proud US manufacturer that produces OEM-level replacement components for hospital infusion and telemetry assets and is headquartered in Cincinnati, with multiple depot repair facilities across the US.
In his 38-year career, Glenn has worked as Regional Director of Clinical Engineering for Mercy Health (now Bon Secours Mercy Health), a biomedical and imaging technician for hospitals, OEM, and ISO’s where he earned his CRES certification while working as a field service representative. In addition to general medical devices, his background includes being trained to support several imaging modalities, including general x-ray, Radiation Therapy, and MRI.
Prior to Elite, Glenn’s previous role was as Director of Clinical Engineering for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, a healthcare system comprised of two hospitals (670-staffed beds and 110 registered psychiatric beds) plus numerous neighborhood and satellite locations covering a 100+ mile radius.
He earned his B.B.A. from Thomas More College and MHSA at Xavier University and is a past member of the AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI) CRES exam review committee and a past President of HTMA-OH.
