Session Abstract

Training remains the cornerstone of success for Biomedical Equipment Technicians and Managers at every level. Whether through internal programs, on-the-job experiences, or OEM instruction, continuous professional development is essential to ensure technical excellence and organizational growth.

This session revisits our 2022 presentation, which introduced the launch of our organization’s internal training program. We will examine the program’s intended objectives, measurable outcomes, and overall impact on technician and manager performance. Additionally, we will share key lessons learned and outline the next phase of our training strategy as we expand to meet the evolving needs of the HTM profession.

As the healthcare technology landscape continues to advance—requiring mastery of new innovations while maintaining legacy systems—ongoing education is vital. Our commitment to structured, sustainable training ensures that HTM professionals remain prepared, adaptable, and equipped to excel in an increasingly complex environment.
