Objectives

CMIA is about practical, actionable knowledge for medical device service teams. This session reflects my commitment to helping professionals succeed by combining entrepreneurial insight with hands-on, data-driven frameworks. Attendees will leave not just inspired, but equipped with tools and ideas they can immediately apply—helping them deliver better outcomes for patients, hospitals, and their own teams.

Session Abstract

Field service teams and clinical engineers are the unsung heroes of medical device operations. Every day, they navigate complex equipment, tight schedules, and critical patient safety requirements. My session is designed to meet them where they are—practical, actionable, and grounded in real-world experience—and show how AI can be a tool that empowers, not overwhelms.

We’ll explore how predictive service and smart analytics can help teams:

1. Reduce unplanned downtime and improve patient outcomes.
2. Prioritize preventive maintenance with real-time insights.
3. Streamline workflows so BMETs and technicians can focus on high-value work.
4. Use data-driven strategies to make service operations smoother, safer, and more impactful.

Through practical storytelling, real examples, and frameworks that simplify AI for everyday use, attendees will walk away with immediately actionable ideas to modernize field service and clinical engineering operations—without the hype.
